2017 Domestic Violence Ceremony & Awards

The 2017 Domestic Violence Ceremony & Awards Ceremony was held October 20th, 2017 in conjunction with the 3rd annual Heels On For Her event at the Firelake Arena.

Those honored this year were Derek White, Oklahoma State Bureau Of Investigations as Law Enforcement Officer of the year. Award presented by Richard Smothermon, 23rd District Attorney.

Channa Pauley, Dispatcher at the Shawnee Police Department as Dispatcher of the year. Award presented by Christina Brown, Shawnee Police Department Communications Manager.

Kimberly Willis, Advocate at Project Safe as Advocate of the year. Award was presented by Julie Branham, Director of Project Safe.

We encourage every agency within Pottawatomie/Lincoln to take part in the Pottawatomie/Lincoln County Coordinated Community Response Team.  Nominations are gathered by members of our group to recognize those who go above and beyond to help victims.
